Cora Edith Dorsey, 81, of Clyde, died at the Rutherford House in Fremont on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
Mrs. Dorsey was born in Whitehouse, Kentucky on February 12, 1939 to the now deceased Walter Jacob and Laura Belle (Hammond) Butcher.
She moved with her family to Sandusky in 1954.
Cora liked to sew and work puzzles, as well as shop, but her main delight has always been her family of husband, four sons and grandchildren.
On March 18, 1956, she married Carl B. Dorsey. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2011.
Their sons, Carl David (Dawn) Dorsey of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Jerry Lee (Barbara) Dorsey of Castalia; Timothy Edward (Kimberly) Dorsey of Elgin, Illinois and Larry Brian (Marilyn) Dorsey of Clyde all survive, also with eleven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Three sisters, Betty Butcher and Nancy Caponi, bother of Sandusky, along with Suzie Butcher of Huron survive as well.
Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by a brother Walter David Butcher and a sister Phyllis Jean Butcher.
Visitation, with mask wearing, and social distancing, will be on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from noon until the service at 1:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery.
