Donald E. Drown, 77, of Clyde, died at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, on Friday, November 20,2020,
Don was born in Green Springs, Ohio on July 10, 1943 to the now deceased Harold K. and Mildred R. (Burns) Drown.
He was a graduate of Green Springs High School in 1963.
While still in school, he began his working career at Electric Machine and Repair in Green Springs. He was still employed at Bennett Electric in Norwalk in sales.
Don loved people, one of the reasons he was still working was to get to see and meet everyone. His family was especially important to him, and no one was a stranger.
On July 23, 1990, he married the former Sue Stout. She survives. Also surviving are children, Jeffery E. (Chris) Drown of Clyde; John A. Drown of Tacoma, Washington; Linda S. (Rick) Ackerman of Fremont; Sherry (Fred) Bouyack of Clyde; Bob (Kimberly) Reichert of Battle Creek, Michigan; Shelly (Gregory) Corthell of Green Springs; Wendy Walter (Jeremy Webb) of Clyde; Sierra Brock (Ron Riehl) of Clyde and Tammy Reichert of Green Springs. Thirty grandchildren, along with 29 great grandchildren, one sister, Ruthann (James) Busack of Clyde and one brother, Jack (Sandy) Didion of Oregon, Ohio survive as well.
Mr. Drown is preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Stearns and an infant brother, Albert Drown.
A walk through visitation, entering the front door and exiting the back door, will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 4-8:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Masks and social distancing will be observed. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Noon at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
