Dorothy (Gibson) Kilgore

Dorothy Kilgore, 91, of Bellevue, died Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Astoria Place of Clyde.

 

She was born July 28, 1930 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Arthur V. & Ella Mae (Johnson) Gibson.  She graduated from Beaver High School in Bluefield.  Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bellevue, where she formerly served as the church secretary.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking.

 

On September 9, 1950 she married Glenn C. Kilgore and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2003.  

 

Survivors include their sons: Glenn S. (Vickie) Kilgore of Bellevue; Kevin (Anne) Kilgore of Strongsville; Shawn (Kelly) Kilgore of Bellevue; grandchildren: Jason (Amy) Kilgore; Kris (Cory) Kilgore; Danielle Kilgore; Brad (Lorena Veldanez) Kilgore; Spencer Kilgore; Zachary (Samantha) Kilgore; Jameson (Dominique) Kilgore; Katelyn Kilgore; great-grandchildren: Kailey Kilgore; Kelsey Kilgore; Logan Kilgore; Alexis Kilgore; Lacy Kilgore; Nicolas Crowe; Brianna King; Magdalena Kilgore; Ezra Kilgore; Liam Kilgore; Luna Kilgore; and her sister, Patricia Muncy of Bluefield, West Virginia.

 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Dorothy is preceded in death by her brothers: James Gibson; Carl Gibson, who was killed in World War II; Marvin Gibson; Richard Gibson.

 

Visitation will be Noon-2:00pm Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, 901 Northwest St, Bellevue.  Her funeral service will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, at the church.  Burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery.  Auxter Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church, Bellevue.  Online condolences may be shared at www.auxterfuneralhomes.com
