Mr. Earlin J. Marsh, 75, of Bellevue, died at FIrelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after failing health on Saturday, January 11, 2020.
Earlin was born in Brownsville, West Virginia on March 18, 1944.
He was a member of Flat Rock United Methodist Church and the Bellevue Eagles. For many years, he volunteered at Fish and Loaves in Bellevue. He enjoyed camping and fishing, classic cars and was an avid Steelers fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
After 35 years at Norfolk and Southern, he retired in 2003.
Survivors include his best friend and soul mate, Beth Decker of Bellevue, son, Chuck (Joy) Marsh of Fremont and daughters, Priscilla (Tony) Ehrman and Deanna (Josh) Root all of Bellevue. Ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren, along with his sister, Shelby (Jim) Bush of Mexico Beach Florida survive. The mother of his children Barb Marsh survives in Bellevue.
Preceding him in death is a daughter, Angela Marie Marsh on September 3, 1997, his parents, Ellisworth Marsh and Sylvia (McCauley) Marsh Sprouse and step father, Denzil Sprouse. Also two brothers, David Sprouse and Raymond Marsh. His faithful companion, Zip, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 4:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:00 pm at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio. Burial will be in Thompson Township Cemetery, Co. Rd. 32 on Thursday, at 10:00 am .
Memorials may be made to the humane society of your choice, or Flat Rock UMC; or St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Fish and Loaves.
