Edward Franklin Krombach, 90, of rural Republic, died at Bellevue Care Center on Wednesday, February 23, 202.
Mr. Krombach was born in Republic on September 26,1931 to Cora (Tusing) and Fred Krombach.
He attended Republic school, then graduated from the former Thompson High School in 1948.
Franklin was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Adams Township. He had retired from Central Soya.
He loved collecting gas engines and tractors. He could fabricate any item that was needed in the repair of the engines or tractors.
On July 3, 1956, he married Leona Vance. She preceded him in death on December 9, 2007.
Survivors include his daughter and her family, Karen (Dennis) Riegel; grandchildren, Kelly, David and Matthew and seven great grandchildren, along with daughter-in-law, Valerie Krombach, granddaughters, Bethany and Brittany and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Krombach was preceded in death by his son, Paul Krombach in November 2005 and sister, Marie Rinker.
Graveside services will be held at Block Cemetery at 11:30 am on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
