George Edwin Roach, 78, of Clyde, died at the Bellevue Hospital on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
George was born in Michigan on August 13, 1943 to Doris (Smith) and George Edward Roach.
He was a 1962 graduate of Clyde High School. Following graduation, George entered the United States Navy and served for four years.
Mr. Roach retired from the City of Clyde Police Department as a Sergeant after many years of service.
He was a member of Grace Community Church, Fremont, as well as the FOP Along with his wife Carol he loved the outdoors, fishing hunting and being with friends outside in Ohio, Florida and Michigan. He Like to attend flea markets and garage sales. George never met a stranger, and if he did it was no vault of his own.
On October 25, 1963, he married Carol Jean Brown. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2021.
Their two children, Mark A. (Wendy) Roach of Clyde and Daun (David) Church survive. Seven grandchildren, David; Elizabeth (Leigh); Jacob (Natasha); Joshua; Hannah; Miriam; and Aaron (Kelli) along with two great grandchildren Jack and Mykena survive. His sister, Claudia Laurendau of Clyde survives as well.
George was preceded by his parents and brother Travis Roach.
Services for George and Carol will be held on Saturday, May 14,2022 at 11:00 am, following at time for visitation from 9:45 am until the service at Grace Community Church, smith Road, Fremont, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to the Grace Community Church Children's Ministry.
