George J. Trapp

George J. Trapp, 68, of Bellevue, died Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic.

 

He was born September 19, 1953 in Bellevue to George E. & Ignatia (DeLiberto) Trapp.  He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1971.  A few years ago, George returned to Bellevue, after spending many years living in the Columbus area.  Currently, he was working for Golden Giant.  George was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church; the Bellevue Elks, and the Dublin Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed fishing, and all sports, especially racing and ice hockey.

 

On September 13, 1975 he married Rose M. (Schindley) and she survives in Bellevue.  Also surviving are their sons: Joe (Jennifer) Trapp of Louisiana and Anthony (Amanda) Trapp of Lakewood; his brother, Paul Trapp of Amherst; and many extended family members.

 

Visitation will be 9:30-11:00am Thursday, January 13, 2022 at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church, 16209 County Road 46, Bellevue.  Mass will begin at 11:00am at the church with Rev. Nathan Bockrath officiating.  Auxter Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bellevue is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be given to St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church or Immaculate Conception School.
