Glenn Hire Obituary

Glenn A. Hire, 88, of Norwalk, died Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born February 14, 1933 in Castalia to Milton J. and Edith Lucille (Kuns) Hire. Glenn graduated from Bellevue High School and was a farmer, who sometimes had other jobs. Mr. Hire was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk.

On June 6, 1952 he married Barbara J. (Archer) Hire. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2020.

Survivors include their children: C. Michael (Rhonda) Hire of Canal Winchester, Ohio; Diane K. Hire of Norwalk; Steve M. (Heather) Hire of Berlin Heights; and Stanton G. (Nancy) Hire of Lewis Center, Ohio; his siblings: Clarice Moyer of Sturgis, Michigan and Daniel Hire of Bellevue; his sister-in-law, Deborah Hire of Castalia; nine grandchildren and several great grand children.

In addition to his parents and wife, Glenn was preceded in death by his siblings: Dean Hire; David Hire; Eugene Hire; and Faye Monk.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Bellevue City Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association; a Breast Cancer Awareness Charity; or Stein Hospice.
