Herbert D. Butts

Herbert D. Butts, 82, of Fremont died at the Promedica Hospital in Fremont on Wednesday, November 10,2021.

Herb was born in Vinton, Ohio on July 18, 1939 to Gertrude (Carsey) and Cecil Butts. 

He loved to golf, had enjoyed bowling and watching basketball, especially the Cavs. He also liked the Browns.

Mr. Butts had served in The United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. 

After the service, he worked for many years at the Ford Motor Company prior to retirement.

On April 30, 1976, he married Patricia Krassow. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2021.

Three daughters survive, Jodi (Chad) Beaber of Gibsonburg; Tina (Duane) Willman of The Colony, Texas and Christine Dunn of Mansfield. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. His brother, Gary (Janice) Butts survives in Vickery. 

Mr. Butts was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Robert Keith Butts and a step daughter, Kelly Huffman, along with two brothers, Fred Butts and John Butts. 

At his request, no services will be held.
