Ignatia Mary Trapp, 90 of Bellevue, died at The Willows of Bellevue on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Mrs. Trapp was born in Bellevue, Ohio on January 3, 1931 to the now deceased Lucille (Moscoreli) and Paul DeLiberto.
She was a member of the 1948 graduating class of Bellevue High School, then nursing school, finally a Bowling Green State University graduate in library science. She was librarian at the former York Elementary School for 23 years, retiring on June 30, 1990.
Ignatia was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and formerly the advisory board for the school. She had also served as a Den mother for troop 221, along within being the recipient of the Woman of Excellence. She was a long time member of the Needle Point Club.
On June 13, 1953, she married George E. Trapp. He preceded her on January 14, 2020.
Survivors include their two sons, George J. (Rose) Trapp of Bellevue and Paul A. Trapp of Amherst. Five grandchildren, Jeremy Trapp; Joseph Trapp; Anthony Trapp; Erin Rancher and Natalie Trapp, along with eight great grandchildren. Two sisters, Theresa Shoemaker and Carma McGuire, both of Bellevue. along with a brother, Russell DeLiberto of Mishawaka, Indiana survive.
Mrs. Trapp is preceded in death by a brother, Carl DeLiberto.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. One hour prior to mass, a time for greeting the family will be at the church.
Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Bellevue.
