Jack C. Myers

Jack C. Myers, 86, of Fremont, died at his home on August 24, 2021.

Jack was born in Lima on June 1, 1935 to Mary (Hayter) and Clayton Myers. He attended Kenton High School.

During high school he joined the United States Navy, serving from November 1952 until May 1956. 

Mr. Myers retired from Ford Motor Co. after 26 years, then was self employed doing dry wall for 31 years. He truly enjoyed the finishing of dry wall. Also, he loved to garden, visiting casinos and his Bud Light.  He and Janet were able to travel, including many trips to West Virginia, where he was able to four wheel.

On July 21, 2003, he married Janet Noftz. She survives, as do his children, Michael (Tammy) Myers of Lindsey; Kimberlee (Lynn Urban) Myers of Fremont; Jackie (Dwayne) Gannon of Tecumseh. Michigan; Jay Myers of Tennessee and stepson, Wade (Jenny) Noftz of Clyde. His eight grandchildren are: Jason; Josh; Jordie; Travis; Lily; Elaynah; Griffin and Kaleb, who survive along with six great grandchildren. One brother, Jim (Pat) Myers lives in Bradenton, Florida.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Melvin Jacobs and a half brother, Rick Wormly.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 27, 2021 from noon until 2:00pm when the Clyde VFW will present the American flag for his military service at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio. The celebration of his life will continue at the Clyde VFW where a light luncheon will be served immediately following the 2:00pm presentation.
