Janet Kay Gnepper, 52, of Bellevue, unexpectedly died at the Toledo Hospital on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
Janet was born in Stuttgart, Germany to John M. and Kathleen (Furry) Melanathy, while her family served in the military, on May 5, 1968.
She was a very spiritual person, who also had a firecrack personality. Her dog, Lucy Liu, will miss her greatly.
In 1986, she graduated from the former DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio.
Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Gnepper, whom she married on August 30, 2002, daughter, Lillian (David) Townsend of Bellevue, grandson, Owen Gahimer of Bellevue; mother, Kathleen Melanathy of Toledo and father, John M. Melanathy of Florida; her brother John (Teresa) Melanathy of Ohio and sister, Jessica Emerson of Michigan.
Janet was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Buehning.
A walk through visitation, coming in the front door, exiting the back, will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 10:00 am until noon at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to the Bellevue Recreation Center.
