Janet R. Hayward, 87, of rural Republic, died at her home, on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
Janet was the sixth child of the now deceased Ben and Mamie (Kautz) Davis.
She graduated from Clyde High School in 1950. Then for a time, attended Ohio University.
For over 22 years, she was a clerk and a columnist for the former Clyde Enterprise.
On February 5, 1951, she married Gordon E. Hayward. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Michael G. Hayward of Tiffin and Brian R. Hayward of Durango, Colorado. Two grandchildren, Robert G. Hayward of Clyde and Carrie Torres of Fireside. Five great grandchildren Jaedn; Kayin; Raiden; Macy and Chloe, along with her siblings; Dorothy D. Cox of Clyde; Norie O. Harrow of North Canton ; Marian Pfeiffer of Fremont; Ben Davis of Clyde Thomas Davis of Clyde and Diane Deken of Madison, Ohio also survive.
Mrs. Hayward was preceded in death by a son, Martin E. Hayward in May 2015.Also three sisters, Barbara Eberly, C. Jean Butz and Joyce Baker.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, which would have been her 88th birthday, from 10:00 am until the service at Noon, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Rev. Sheryl Seitz will officiate and burial will follow at Block Cemetery, rural Republic. Covid mandates will be in effect.
