On Friday, December 18, 2020, her 66th wedding anniversary, Joan Marlene Cobb, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at home at the age of 84.
Joan is survived by her husband David J. Cobb; daughters Debbie (Paul) Kurowski; Tami (Steve) Jackson; and son, Doug (Joanne) Cobb. Four grandchildren, Dan (Laura) Cobb; Lindsay (Alex) Damschroder; Brad (Tricia) Cobb and Brittany (Tom) Herrin, eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Charlie, Olivia, Owen, Dylan, Hayes, Wyatt and Audrey also survive.
Joan was born on May 8, 1936, in Fremont to Cleo and Lulu (Kern) Smith.
She was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery.
After twenty years with the State of Ohio, Bureau of Vocation al Rehabilitation, she retired.
Mrs. Cobb was well known for her potato salad and scalloped corn. Her famous brownies will be missed by the Fremont Airport gang.
Joan did not know a stranger, and was a friend by the end of an initial conversation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Smith and sister, Lois Miller.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Parkhurst Cemetery.
