John W. Sutter

John W. Sutter, 77, of Clyde, died at his home on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

John was born on September 8, 1942 to the now deceased Richard and Dorothy (Gardner) Sutter.

He graduated from Clyde High School in 1960. John then joined the United States Navy.

John was a member of Grace Community Church in Fremont. Formerly, he had been a member of the Clyde Moose.

John was a truck driver and an electrician, being self employed in both areas.

He was an avid John Deere and antique tractor enthusiast. John also enjoyed sprint car racing and college sports. Playing poker was a good past time, but winning was important. Eating perch was one of his favorite things to do, but his family was the primary focus in his life.

He is survived by five children, Janet (Rodney) Prescott of Fremont; Jacqueline (Rob Rozgonyi) Maenle of Columbus; John, Jr (Denise) Sutter, Clyde; Jill ( Marcus) Austin, Montpelier, Ohio; and Juliana (Frank) Pierce, Clyde, along with two stepsons, John l. (Theresa) Musser, Fremont; Jason E. (Cindy) Musser, Fort Worth, Texas. Grandchildren, Amber; Brandon; Caitlyn; Cody; Lynzi; Natasha; Jessica; Jessica E.; Shelby; Kiersten; Alexandrea; Serenity; Jaedyn; Gabriella; Carter; Andrea; Brooke; Colton and Caleb,, as well as 26 great grandchildren. His two sisters, Patricia (Howard) McGlothen, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Linda Dull of Elyria and brother, Brian Sutter of Walbridge.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Schwochow) Sutter, whom he married on October 10, 1981. Joanie died on September 22, 2014. Also an infant son, Joseph Sutter preceded him in death.

The family is having a private time of remembrance and celebration of John's life.
