Judith A. Massey, age78, of Clyde, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on
Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Bellevue Hospital. She was born on May 26, 1943 in Clyde,
the daughter of the late John and Lois (Smith) Miller.
Judy graduated from Townsend High School in 1961. She was a secretary at the former Johnson
Furnace, then the bookkeeper for Massey Lawn Service, and was owner/operator of Nana and
Papa's Kettle Corn with her husband, Bob, until retirement.
Judy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Vickery. She was an active gardener
and taught aerobics and Tai Chi classes in the local communities. She loved spending time with
her family, especially on Wednesdays, when she and Bob watched their great granddaughters.
Judy married Robert A. Massey on September 18, 1971. They both passed away on August 18,
2021, just one month shy of their 50th anniversary.
Survivors include two children, Cherie (Rich) Oddo of Bellevue and Robert L. (Rachel) Massey
of Castalia; two granddaughters, Taylor (Joseph) Sickler and Peyton Massey (Caleb Adams,
fiance); two great granddaughters, Riley and Dani Sickler; brother, Jim (Mari Lou) Miller of
Green Springs; and brother-in-law, Tony Mira of Sicily.
Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Mira.
A walk through visitation, entering the front door and exiting the back door, will be held on
Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 10:00 am until Noon at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218
South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The graveside service will be held at McPherson Cemetery, at
12:30 pm.
Memorials may be made, if desired, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or organization of
choice.
