Kandy K. Sumner

Kandy K. Sumner, 63, most recently from Fremont, died at Stein Hospice, Sandusky on Tuesday, May 10,2022.

Kandy was born in Bellevue on March 31,1959. She was a 1977 graduate of Clyde High School. 

Ms Sumner had been a beautician, graduating from Gordon Philips Beauty Academy in Pennsylvania. 

She truly enjoyed people. Her favorite people were her nine grandchildren!...Kandy was usually the life of the party;.the center of attention,along with being the party planner!!...She was always there when you needed her and would give the shirt off her back. She had the biggest heart and would go to the moon and back for whoever needed her!! She was spunky and charismatic and spontaneous!!! She crossed lots of paths and made so many friends!!!       
 

Survivors include three children, Korey Colella of Fremont; Krystal Colella of Clyde; Kassandra Colella (Erik Walker) of Clyde. Also nine grandchildren, Donavan; Paige, Chassidy, Keyaira, Jaclyn; Kevin, Jr., Kaidence, Kailena, and Kamree survive.  Kandy also has four great grandchildren, Braxton, Kamryn, Emery and Liyhlah who survive her. Her seven siblings, Leon Jr. (Pam) Sumner of Clyde, Christine Sumner, Fremont, Gail (Mike) Nobles of Marysville, Ohio; Lonnie Sumner of Perrysburg; Larry (Dawn) Sumner of Clyde; Robin (David) Scheck of Orlando, Florida; Lana (Ben) Laurendeu of Avon, Ohio survive as well. Her partner, John Conley, along with the father of her children, Tom Colella are among her survivors.

Kandy's parents, Gloria Carter Sumner Goon, and father, Leon Sumner, Sr., have preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 22,2022 at the Clyde VFW beginning at noon.
