Kathryn Elaine (Clifton) Balogh

Kathryn Elaine Balogh, 95, of rural Clyde, died at her home on Friday, June 23, 2023.

Elaine was born in Toledo on September 6,1927 to Estella (Young) and Percy F. Clifton. 

She was a member of the 1945 Waite High School graduating class. 

Mrs. Balogh was a member of the Butternut Ridge Church of Christ. She had been a line dancer AND an instructor, also a member of the former Top Hats, and had been in roller skate competition.

On December 30, 1944, she married William Balogh. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2001.

Four children survive, James (Jean) Balogh of Northwood; Jerry (Paulette) Balogh of Grand Blanc, Michigan; Jeffrey (Patty) Balogh of Green Springs and Jay (Cynthia) Balogh of Brooklyn, Michigan. Also, a son-in-law, Dan (Aimee) Monday of Clyde. Sixteen grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and her beloved cat Domino, survive as well.

Elaine was preceded by her daughter, Jody Layne Balogh Monday and siblings, Herbert Clifton, Dorothy Horen, and Marjorie Hinds.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from noon until the service at 2:00pm at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio.

Memorials may be made to Butternut Ridge Church of Christ or Stein Hospice.  The family would like to especially thank nurse Frannie of hospice.
