Kathryn L. (Thompson) Roach

Kathryn L. Roach, 86, of Fremont, died at her home on Monday, August 3, 2020.

Mrs. Roach was born in Vickery on September 5,1933 to the now deceased John and Alice (Hodgkinson) Thompson.

She attended the former Townsend Township High School. 

Kathryn thought of herself as a mother and homemaker, but she had worked at New Departure for 7 years; H&A for 5 years and had delivered the News Messenger of 15 years.

On April 28, 1951, she married Gordon D. Roach. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2018.

Survivors include four children, Gordon Jr. (Connie) Roach of Erie, Michigan; Marcus Dean (Nancy) Roach of Fremont; Connie Lou (Tim) Schaaf of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; and Scott L. Roach of Fremont. Ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Kathryn was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay Wagner; an infant son, Robert Lynn Roach, along with five siblings, Betty Gschwind; Donald Thompson; Charles Thompson; Mildred Coonrod and Esther Gschwind.

A walk through visitation, entering the front door and exiting the back door, will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, at 11:15 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Candace Seaman officiating. 

Memorials may be made, if desired, to Heartland Hospice.
