Kathyrunn Louise (Brutcher) Ritchey

Kathyrunn L. Ritchey, 93, of Clyde, died at Valleyview Nursing Home, Fremont on Monday, January 10,2022.

Kathyrunn was born in Clyde on August 3,1928, to Ethel (Dearsman) and John Brutcher. 

She was a member of the 1946 Clyde High School graduating class.

Mrs. Ritchey was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde, where she had been active in the Altar Circle, as well as serving as Treasurer of the Women of St. Paul for many years. She was ready, willing and able to provide her wonderful cookies for church events.

She attended and enjoyed Clyde Flier events and liked to cheer for the Cleveland Indians.

On August 27,1949, she married James C. Ritchey. He preceded her in death on October 19,2009.

Their three daughters survive: Nancy (John) Snyder of Marion, Ohio; Jane (Stan) Mounts of Lorain, Ohio and Sharon (Tom) Powell of Portage, Michigan. Six grandchildren, Chad (Roshny) Archer; Ryan Snyder; Stacy (Dan) Frole: Cary (Nikki) Snyder; Angela (Jerome) Stiger and Kevin Powell, along with bonus grandchildren, Kristi (Stephen) Gray and Craig (Kate) Krejci. Eight great grandchildren and three bonus great grandchildren also survive. Two brothers, Ronald (Arlene) Brutcher of Virginia and Robert (Carol) Brutcher of Norwalk survive as well.

Preceding her in death are her parents and siblings, Pauline Hirt, John Brutcher and Doyle Lemar Brutcher and bonus granddaughter, Paula Mounts Krejci.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 14,2022 at 2:30pm at McPherson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
