Kevin D. Gettys

Kevin Gettys, 68, of Clyde passed away on February 18, 2022. Kevin was born July 14, 1953. Kevin is survived by his girlfriend, Linda Zerman; sons, Kevin and Kyle; grandkids, Kobe (Kimberly), Alazae, Gabriella, and Kora; great grandkids, Kennedy, and Loyal; sisters, Carol and Crystal. He is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Faye; brother, Gary.

 

Kevin was a simple man whom many knew. He was an avid outdoorsman; stories of him as a kid bringing a blue racer into the local barbershop in the small town of Bloomville, to helping his boys bring pheasants to show and tell in elementary school. There weren't many times you would find he didn't have his fishing pole in the car ready to find the next pond or stream. Even far into the years when his line never got wet, his rod and reel were always ready. He called Clyde his home but his place of peace and enjoyment was always the outdoors. If he wasn't in the woods or near a pond you might have found yourself hearing him sing an old tune and telling stories with his bud light in a short glass setting at one of his favorite bar stools. He was a man that marched by a beat of his own drum not ever out to impress anyone nor to be punctual with his time.
