Leona S. Stahl, 88, of Clyde, died at The Willows in Bellevue on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
Mrs. Stahl was born in Cambria County, Pennsylvania on February 8, 1932 to the now deceased John W. and Louise (Cook) Slagle
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clyde. Also she belonged to the Sandusky County Y, where she enjoyed swimming every day.
First, Mrs. Stahl was a RN for St. Mary School, along with the Clyde-Green Springs Schools. Later, she went to obtain her degree in speech therapy, maintaining her connection with the schools.
On January 29, 1955, she married Glenn E. Stahl. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2013.
Their children, Anne Stahl of Washington, DC; Mark (Linda) Stahl of San Diego, California; Mary (Tom) Oravec of Lorain, Ohio; Joan (Steve) Gulbronson of St. Petersburg, Florida; Theresa Stahl of Columbus; Susan Stahl of Columbus; John (Deanna) Stahl of Akron; and Cathy (Alan) McClelland of Columbus survive. Seventeen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren along with her brother, Jack (Audrey) Slagle of Philadelphia survive.
Visitation, following the walk through system (coming in the front door, exiting the back door), with face masks, will be on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral mass will be on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clyde with Rev. Ed Schleter officiating.
