Linda Lou Mowery,69, of rural Bellevue, died at her home on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
Linda was born in Clyde on November 6, 1951 to the now deceased Evelyn (Young) and James H. Pocock.
She graduated from Lakota High School in 1971. Linda enjoyed crafts, especially knitting and making baby quilts.
On July 31, 1972, she married Colby W. Mowery. He survives, along with three of their children, Penny (George Rippeth) Mowery of Jackson, Ohio; Cheryl (Ronnie) McNatt of Cleveland; and Steve (Danielle) Mowery of Fremont. Also eight grandchildren survive, Rodney III; Kendra; Kyle; Dominique; Steven; Maci and Kennedy, and a step grandson Cameron, as well as five great grandchildren. Five of her siblings, James Pocock Jr. of Florida; Jerry Pocock of Clyde; Anne Keaton of Rocky Ridge; Jeannie Long of Vickery and Karen Keegan of Green Springs also survive.
Mrs. Mowery was preceded in death by a son, Colby W. Mowery, Jr., and a granddaughter, Tasha, and two great great granddaughters,along with two brothers, Danny Pocock and David Pocock.
Visitation will be on Thursday,, July 15, 2021 from 9;30 am until 11:15 am at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The graveside service will be at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde at 11:30 am.
