Marion "PeeWee" Pierce, 80, of Bellevue, died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his home.
He was born October 27, 1940 in Haleyville, Alabama to John William and Sarah Rose Mae(Colburn) Pierce. He graduated from Bellevue High School and attended Tiffin University in accounting. He served our country in the US Army Airbourne from 1960-62. PeeWee had been an independent truck driver and had worked for Johnson Furnace in Bellevue.
On October 9, 1965 he married Judi A. (Henney) and she survives in Bellevue. Also surviving is their son, Shawn (Rhonda) Pierce of South Carolina; grandchildren: Connor, Jared, and Sarah Pierce; and his siblings:; J.D. Pierce of Harrogate, Tennessee; Betty Starkey of North Fairfield, Ohio; Myrl Dean /Jonnie Pierce of Bellevue, Ohio; and Katherine Hansard of Hudson, Florida.
In addition to his parents, PeeWee was preceded in death by his siblings: Nina Aderholt, O.B. Pierce, and Edith Powell, of Boaz, Alabama; Helen Hyde of Phil Campbell, Alabama; Ruth Prichard of Boaz, Alabama and Dwight Pierce of Haleyville, Alabama.
A memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday, April 24, 2020 at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be immediately following the service in Flat Rock Cemetery with military rites provided by the Bellevue VFW & American Legion & Marine Corps League. Following his burial, a memorial luncheon will be served at the Assembly of God Church, 770 Kilbourne St, Bellevue. Auxter Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue is assisting the family with arrangements.
