Marlene Ann (Scheid) Buck, 85, of Bellevue, died on Friday, March 13, 2020.
Marlene was born in Bellevue on October 13, 1934 to her now deceased parents, Ralph H. and Doris E. (Scheid) Scheid.
She attended the former Lyme School, then graduated in 1952 from Bellevue High School, and Capital University in 1956 where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught third grade in Elyria schools before returning to Bellevue to teach 1st grade at Pike and McKim schools, finishing our her career teaching kindergarten at Ellis and then Ridge school in 1991.
Mrs. Buck was the organist of her church, St. John's Lutheran, in Bellevue for over 60 years.
She was a member of the Ohio Education and National Education Associations. She also gave piano lessons to numerous students.
On June 16, 1957, she married Theodore C. Buck. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2018.
Their sons, David (Susan) Buck of Centerville and Douglas (Peggy) Buck of Lewis Center survive. Also three grandsons, Matthew (Christine) Buck; Christopher (Chelsea) Buck and Daniel Buck, along with great grandchildren Aaron, Elaina and Evan survive as well. Her brother, Roger (Karen) Scheid survives in Monroeville.
Mrs. Buck was preceded in death an infant sister Vera Anita Scheid.
Due to the Coronavirus 19, a private funeral will take place and burial will take place. At a later date, a public service will be held.
Memorials may be made to any music benefit for St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Included, but not limited to the organ or choir.
