Nolan C. Gross, 91, of Clyde, died at home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
Mr. Gross was born in Rice Township, Sandusky County, Fremont on February 26,1930 to the now deceased Hazel Rebecca (King) and Harry C. Gross.
Nolan was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and watching football. He especially loved being involved with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A 1948 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. he then was in the Army Reserves.
He was a truck driver for Fruit Belt, which became Signal Trucking, prior to his retirement.
On February 23, 1952, he married Evelyn Martin. She survives, as do their four children: Linda (Randall) Peterson of Ada, Ohio; Richard (Trina) Gross of Fremont; Christine Gibbs of Clyde and Harry J. (Susan) Gross of Marshall, Michigan. Ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Gross was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Ranzenberger and a sister Pearl Gross Heim.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 11,2021 from 9:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery. Rev. Tim Loerke will officiate.
