Patricia L. (Smith) Ericsson

Patricia L. (Smith) Ericsson, 78, of Clyde, died at her home on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

She was born in Fremont on October 15, 1941 to Robert and Juanita (Hunt) Smith.

Pat was a member of the 1959 graduating class of Clyde High school.

Mrs. Ericsson was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue.

She had volunteered with Bingo and the former school cafeteria at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clyde. She belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. she had also formerly served on the clyde City Council.

Pat had retired from the former Eastern Airline, New York.

On May 25, 1968, she married Carl J. Ericsson. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2006.

Survivors include their four children, Fern (Larry) Parkin, Warwick, NY; Kelly Ericsson, Clyde; Eric (Jennifer) Ericsson, Plymouth, Ohio and Leif (Martha) Ericsson, Willard, Ohio.Ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, along with her sister, Jan (Duke) Davis of Clyde and stepson, Wayne (Patti) Ericsson of the Villages, Florida also survive.

Pat was preceded in death by a grandson, Trevor L. Parkin, A daughter-in-law, Wendy Ericsson; her parents, a brother, Fred Smith and a stepson, Gary J. Ericsson.

Private visitation and a graveside funeral, presided by Deacon Peter Grodi will take place now.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow when social distancing restrictions are lifted.

Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.

In memory of Pat, the family suggests that donations, if desired, be to Immaculate Conception School in Bellevue, Ohio.
