Patty J. (Dile) Simpkins

Patty J. Simpkins, 88, formerly of Clyde, more recently of Angola, Indiana, died at Stein Hospice in Sandusky on Thursday, May 28, 2020.

Patty was born in Coshocton County, Ohio on September 16.1931 to Charles and Martha (Smith) Diles. She was educated in Coshocton Schools.

On December 31, 1948, she married Joseph B. Simpkins. He preceded her in death on February 8,2007.

Mrs. Simpkins was a secretary for ACON Construction in Clyde, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clyde.

Survivors include three daughters, Debra Billow of Angola, Indiana; Cindy (Steve) Bryant of Haleyville, Alabama and Terri Simpkins of Olmsted Township, Ohio. Six grandchildren, Timothy (Haley) Billow; Amos Benjamin (Elizabeth) Bryant; Sally Anne (Heath) Gist; Joseph (Emily) Jones; Nicolas (Katie) Jones and Bobby (Katy) Jones, along with eleven great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step father, Edwin Baker. Her sister is also deceased, Beverly Simons.

Private family services will be held, with a public graveside service on Monday, June 1, 2020 at McPherson Cemetery, at approximately at 11:45 am.
