Paul A. Wolfe

Paul A. Wolfe, 89, of Bellevue died at The Willows on Friday, August 20, 1921.

Paul was born in Bellevue on October 9, 1931 to the now deceased Ethel (Engler) and Clayton Wolfe.

He was a member of the 1950 graduating class of York High School. Following graduation, he entered the United States Army and served in the Medical Corp during the Korean War.

Mr. Wolfe was the owner of Wolfe Construction and Wolfe Cabinet Shop. After retirement, he said he was "a handyman".

Paul was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Bellevue, as well as the Bellevue VFW and American Legion. He had been a member of the former York Grange and Norwalk Fads, a western square dance group. He was also a charter member of the Bellevue Historical Society. For many years, he played various instruments in numerous bands in the area.

On January 27, 1952, he married Wanda Lee Myers. She preceded him in death on August 18, 2012.

Surviving is their daughter, Susan (Rob) Loomer of Canyon Lake, California and a grandson, Austin Wolfe of Huntington, California.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Wolfe in 2019. His sister, Eileen Meyer and brother Lauren Wolfe are also deceased.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio. The funeral service will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 10:30 at St. Paul United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Diane Carter officiating. Burial will be in Flat Rock/Bishop Seybert Cemetery with military rites.
