Paul F. Wott, 84, of Clyde died at The Willows of Bellevue on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
Paul was the oldest of three sons born to Frank and Esther (Schwochow) Wott. He was born in Fremont on June 13, 1936.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue, the Monticello Lodge 244 F&AM and the Scottish Rite.
A graduate of Clyde High School in 1954, he joined the United States Army in November of 1954 and was honorably discharged in November of 1956.
On January 12, 1957, he married Marilyn Andrews. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2018.
For many years, Paul was an insurance agent for a couple companies, prior to his retirement.
Survivors include five children, Dennis P. (Suzanne) Wott of Fremont; Stephen M. (Patricia) Wott of Dover, Ohio; Gayle E. Noftz of Clyde; Elizabeth "Beth" J. Wott of Oregon, Ohio and Eric R. (Ann) Wott of Celina. Twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive as well.
Mr. Wott was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Wott and Mark Wott.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 4-7:00 pm at Auxter Funeral Home, 1195 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio. Masonic services will be at 6:30 pm on Friday, The funeral service will be on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue with Rev. Mark Bogen and Rev. Lance Franke officiating. Masks and social distancing will be observed at all services and visitation. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde with military rites provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Capital Fund.
