R. Jerald “Jerry” Zieber, of Bellevue, died at The Willows on Thursday, October 5, 2023, after a long life of doing what he loved and was so proud of, working on the farm.
Jerry was born in Bellevue on November 22, 1944 to the now deceased Margaret Mary (Keller) and Jerald J. Zieber.
He graduated from the former Thompson High School in 1962.
Following graduation, he continued in the family business, Zieber Egg Farm. For thirty three years, he was able to work in an area, farming, that he loved and was his passion. Now, the addition of the business of ZZZ Pork has been added to the farming operation.
Mr. Zieber was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue and was a lifetime member of the Bellevue Eagles. For 23.5 years, he served as a Thompson Township Trustee.

Delivering eggs on “the egg route”, watching his children grow up and have their own children and then watching his grandchildren at any event he could, including the fair, sports game and playing in the band were times that Jerry dearly treasured. He was always excited for his traditional yearly vacation to Mohican State Park with family and special friends.
On July 18, 1969, he married Kay Miller. She survives, along with their four children, Kelly (Jeff) Harlett of Swanton; Scott Zieber of Bellevue; Stacy (Jason) Wright of Bellevue and Julie (Gabe) Sprague of Genoa. Nine grandchildren, Brooke (Nathan), Brady (Emily), Bridget; Kory (Katie), Logan; Lydia, Marie; Gracie and Lyla, along with three great grandchildren also survive. There are his three brothers, Ted (Debbie) Zieber of Mansfield; Donald (Jean) Zieber of Bellevue; Paul Zieber of Columbus and one sister, Ann (Nelson) Wright of Bellevue that are left to cherish his memory.
Mr. Zieber was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Beth Moffett.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 3-7pm at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. The funeral mass will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, October 13, 2023 beginning at 11am, burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery.
