Richard J. Hosang

Richard J. Hosang, 76, of Attica, died Friday, November 10, 2023 at his home.

He was born March 21, 1947 in Bellevue to Arthur & Helen B. (Dick) Hosang.  In 1965, Dick graduated from Attica High School.  He honorably served our country in the US Army during the VietNam War.  Dick enjoyed his time spent farming and also worked for France Stone, now Hanson Aggregates.  In his spare time, Dick enjoyed working in the shop, building and repairing all sorts of things.  His most treasured time was spent with his family, especially his granddaughters.

On November 27, 1971 he married Kathleen "Kate" (Shaver) in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin.  Kate survives in Attica.  Also surviving are their daughters, Kelly Hosang of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Megan (Robert) Zito of Dunedin, Florida; granddaughters: Isabelle, Layla, Alia; siblings: Judy (Robert) Swartzmiller of Bellevue; John (Eileen) Hosang of Tiffin; and Paul (Cathy) Hosang of Attica.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Hosang.

His funeral mass will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic  Church, 16209 County Road 46, Bellevue with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.  Military honors will follow and be provided by the Bellevue VFW, American Legion, and Four County Marine Corps League.
