Richard "Rick" L. Purdham, 64, formerly of Clyde, now of Galion, Ohio, unexpectedly died at the Avita Galion Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Rick was born in Fremont on July 30, 1956 to the now deceased Carl E. and Margaret (Hawk) Purdham.
A member of the 1974 graduating class of Clyde High School, Rick had worked for many construction companies as a superintendent.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing.
On July 4, 1977, he married Dawn Rendlen. She preceded him in death on July 4, 1003.
Their three sons, Adam Purdham of Bellevue; Eric Purdham of Fremont and Garrett (Alyssa) Purdham of Clyde survive. Also five grandchildren, Xavior; Baileigh; Jacob; Landon and Caroline, along with one sister, Mary (William) Miller of Fremont; and two brothers, John Purdham of West Virginia and Carl (Evie) Purdham of Colorado survive.
Rick was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Doebel and a brother, Tom Purdham.
Graveside services will be held at a future date.
