Ricky Hammons, 63, of Clyde, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his home.
He was born January 28, 1958 in Fremont to Clinton & Geneva (Johnson) Hammons. He attended school in Barbourville, Kentucky and later had been a DJ, owning Hammer Karaoke for 15 years. Ricky enjoyed music, collecting Native American artifacts, watching the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, and playing with his grandkids.
On February 27, 1988 he married Monica (Taber) and she survives in Clyde. Also surviving are his children: Ricky (Seairah) Hammons, SaRee Hammons (Rob), and Caleb Hammons, all of Clyde; step-children: Sally Reinhart of South Carolina and Carl Stout of Fremont; grandchildren: Dakota, Elijah, Bryson, Ethan, Audree, Jimmy, Chloee; and his brother, Matt Hammons of Barbourville, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his siblings: Larry Hammons, Darlene Rice, and Marilyn Smith.
Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. His funeral service is 1:00pm Saturday at the funeral home with his son, Ricky Hammons officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
