Robert A. Hintz

Robert A. “Bob” Hintz, 67, of Clyde, unexpectedly died at the University of Toledo Medical Hospital on Friday, March 10, 2023.

Bob was the youngest of seven children born to the now deceased Margaret (Ritchey) and Robert August Hintz.

He was a member of the 1973 graduating class of Clyde High School. Also, he was  a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clyde and for thirty four years, prior to his retirement, had been a Clyde Fireman.

During his working career, he had worked at Gulf Gas, Penzoil Gas, head mechanic at Bellevue City Schools, Crown Battery and finally Bobby’s Bus and Truck Repair.

Survivors include his son, Robert L.L. “Bobby” and Chelesa Hintz of Cincinnati and their daughter, Harper. Two sisters, Marjorie McClanahan of Green Springs and Anita Anderson of Utah also survive, as does his former wife, and Bobby’s mother, Sharon (O’Neil) Hintz of Bellevue.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 3:00pm until 5:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde. The funeral will be on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:30 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Amy Ochier officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
