Robert Frederick Linder, 53, of Clyde, died at his home, following an illness, on Friday, January 17, 2020.
Bob was born in Bellevue on February 21, 1966 to Robert V. and Betty (Collins) Linder.
He was a member of the 1984 graduating class of Clyde High School. Also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde.
Bob enjoyed poker and all kinds of card games. He played the guitar and had participated in drag racing. He loved to fish, providing his family with numerous fish for get togethers.
After high school, he had worked at IPC in Norwalk, then at Evergreen in Clyde and now at Auto Zone, Clyde as parts manager.
He is survived by his mother, Betty (John) Scheer of Clyde; father, Robert V. (Roberta) Linder of Powder Springs, Georgia and a sister, Dawn Henry of Fremont. One niece, Randi (Jason, Barnett and two nephews, Nicholas (Nicole) Carte and Alexander Mestrey, along with three great nieces and nephews, Genevieve Carter, Dominic Carter and Jaden Barnett also survive. His aunt, C. Susie Strow lives in Bellevue.
Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert F. Linder in WWII and grandmother, Alice (Beasley) Linder Smith; Melvin R. and Elsa (Sieger) Collins.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 3-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Gerhardt Gosnell officiating. Burial will be in York Chapel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetic Association and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
