Robert S. Moore, 91, of Bellevue, died at The Willows on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
Mr. Moore was born in Frankfort, Indiana on January 12, 1932 the youngest of four children. He was a 1950 graduate of Kirklin High School.
In 1961, he moved to Bellevue, where he was an electrician for the N&S Railroad. He retired in 1993.
A member of Providence Baptist Church, Robert collected gas engines and enjoyed repairing lawn tractors for his hobbies.
On March 27, 1951 he entered the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on March 27, 1954.
On June 2, 1952, he married Delores Imogene Padgett. She preceded him in death on October 6, 2021 after sixty-nine years of marriage.
Survivors include three daughters, Teresa (Joel) Link; Diana (John) Kosta, all of Bellevue and Connie (Dave) Kowaleski of Bluffton, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Travis (Bobbi) Bryant; Toni (Mike) Williams; Chad O’Neil; Shannon (Nick) Clapp; Ryan (Lindsey) Kowaleski and Ashley (Cliff) Owens. Also, four step grandchildren, Jake (Nicole) Link; Ashley Misinec; Tiffanie (Chris) Striker and Kendra Kosta, also including are great grandchildren, Riley & Bailey Bryant; Brodey, Tucker & Cooper Williams; Morgan, Madison & Cody O’Neil; Ben Clapp; Wyatt & Carter Kowaleski and August & Ivy Owens. There are also step great grandchildren, Henry & Tillie Link; Jade & Lincoln Misinec; Lilah & Amelia Striker. Included in the survivors are honorary family, Emma K. Wagner; Michele Widman & family; Bob & Denise Putnam & family.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Tom Bryant, along with his parents, Flossie (Scott) and Alonzo Moore; two sisters, Frances Hopp and Betty Hopp and one brother, Murray Moore.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 10:00 am until the service at noon at Providence Baptist Church, Gardner Road, Bellevue. Pastor Dan Duffy will officiate with military graveside to follow in York Chapel Cemetery.
