Roger W. Logan

Roger W. Logan, 82, of Bellevue died Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. 

He was born February 9, 1941 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Leonard and Clarcie (Ratliff) Logan.  Roger worked 42 years at Armstrong Furnace, until his retirement.  He was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church in Bellevue.  He treasured the time he spent at church and with his church friends.  Roger enjoyed spending time with his dog, K.C. and going on trips to visit family.  Always a hard-worker, his yard looked immaculate- Roger spent many hours working outside on his property.  He could talk to anyone about muscle cars and particularly was interested in his ’64 GTO.  He often took it to car shows and enjoyed spending time at swap meets too.  Roger was a NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt. 

On October 11, 1959 he married Karen “Kay” (Clifford).  She preceded him in death on October 13, 2017.

Survivors include their son, Jeffrey (Lori) Logan of Bellevue; grandson, Kyle Logan of Findlay; and sisters-in-law, Beulah (Jim) Swartz of Port Clinton and Helen Logan of Florida.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Auxter Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue.  His funeral service will be 10:30am Thursday, May 4 at Providence Baptist Church, 1000 W. Gardner Road, Bellevue.  Rev. Dan Duffy will officiate and burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery. 

Memorials may be given to Providence Baptist Church or Erie County Humane Society.
