Rosie L. Bailey, 78, of Clyde, died at her home surrounded by her family, after several years of declining health, on Saturday, April 25, 2020.
Rosie was born in Kentucky on March 10, 1942 to the now deceased Jack and Maxie (Branham) Blair. She graduated from high school in Kentucky.
On January 25, 1963, she married Charles Bailey. They moved to Clyde, from Chicago in 1988. Charles died on September 27, 2011.
Mrs. Bailey used to enjoy camping, but more recently liked Bingo and was quite passionate about scratch off lottery tickets.
Her son, Mark (Debra) Bailey of Clyde survives, along with step children, Donna Bailey of Sharon Tennessee; Ozina (Jason) Chapman of Christopher, Illinois; Larry Bailey of Sharon, Tennessee and Terry (Kimberly) Bailey of Fremont. Fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as a sister, Helen Ferrell of Clyde and brother, Don Blair of Charleston, West Virginia also survive. Bridget Bailey, a step-daughter-in-law survives.
Rosie was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Bailey-Sexton and a sister, Lucille Blair. A stepson, William Bailey is also deceased.
A celebration of Rosie's life will be held at a later date.
