Sara Kaye (Burkin) Alafita

Sara Kaye Alafita, 73, of rural Clyde, died at Firelands Regional Medical Center, on Sunday, December 27, 2020.

Sara Kaye was born in Fremont on March 27, 1947 to the now deceased Howard and Iva (Long) Burkin. 

She was a 1966 graduate of Mohawk High School. 

Sara was a beautician, along with working at Heinz for thirteen years. She enjoyed hosting family get togethers, along with shopping, listening to Doo-Wop. Her foremost focus was her family, especially her treasured grandsons, Anthony and Andrew.

Survivors include her husband, whom she married on July 20,, 1970, Gabriel M. Alafita, their three children, Scott Alafita; Shawn (Jodi) Alafita, all of Bellevue and Andrea (Angel) Burgos of Green Springs.. Her two grandsons, Anthony Burgos and Andrew Burgos and sister Linda Wonderly (Tom) of Fostoria also survive.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at noon at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
