He was a 1974 graduate of Bellevue High School.

In 2016, he retired from the railroad in Bellevue as a machinist.

Mr. Miller was a member of St. Gaspar  Catholic Church. He was always working with his hands, fixing things and general  "putzing" around outdoors. Steve liked to ride his motorcycle, as well as listening to music.

On August 9, 2013, he married Luann Wolf. She along with his son, Chad Miller of Bellevue and his daughter Jennifer (John) Lenthe of Clyde survive.  Also surviving are his step children, Josh (Jane) Wolf of Elmore and Sara Wolf of Woodville; four grandchildren Madeline Miller; Makayla, Devon and Bryson Lenthe and three step grandchildren, Lillian Wolf; Dillon and Lucielle Fulweber. His siblings, Jeanne Metz of Plymouth; Ken (Jan) Miller of Bellevue; Bev (Terry) Sutphen of Bellevue and Sue Miller of Norwalk survive as well. His mother-in-law, Ruth Wolf survives in Genoa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Herman Wolf.

A graveside service, open to his friends and family, will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at noon at Bakertown Cemetery.
