Ted Alan Boyer

 Ted Alan Boyer of Clyde passed away on Friday, June 03, 2022 at Admiral’s Point Nursing Home, Huron.

He was born July 22, 1945, son of Herbert and Dorothy (Patterson) Boyer.

Ted grew up in Lindsey and graduated in 1963 from Ross High School.

After graduation, Ted joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1967.

He met Cheryl Gill on January 2,1967, and on June 7, 1969 they were married. They lived in Green Springs for most of their married life.

They have two children; Scott (Jeannie Day) Boyer of Green Springs and Amy (Patrick) Widman of Clyde. Six grandchildren, Noah Boyer; Lindsey Boyer (Treavor Avers) Preston and Addi Widman, Brock and Matthew Widman also survive.

Ted is survived by his siblings; Linda (Dick) Seely of Castalia; Tim Boyer of Michigan; Rebecca Schwartz of Port Clinton and Dan Boyer of Sandusky. Many nieces and nephews survive as well.

Ted had been a truck driver for most of his life.

He was a member of the Green Springs VFW and American Legion.

Ted loved road trips, golf and his 1930 Model A, but most of all he loved family gatherings.

Ted was stricken with a stroke in May 2015, then again in December 2015. His wife took care of him until April 1, of this year when he went to Huron.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 8,2022 from 10:00 am until the service at 12:30pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio.

Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde with military rites.

Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice or the Donor’s Choice.
