Obituary

Terry "Nick" Dick, 79, of rural Green Springs, died at his home following declining health on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

Nick was born in Bellevue on April 19, 1941 to the now deceased Floyd L. and Marie Harriett (Ritter) Dick. 

He graduated from Clyde High School in 1960.

Mr. Dick retired from the Whirlpool Corp in 2002, after 42 years of employment. He had also served in the Ohio National Guard.

Formerly, Nick was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde, now he was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Tiffin. He loved the outdoors, mowing and grilling were a couple of his favorite past times. Football and word search were also a pleasant activity. His family, especially his grandchildren were the joy in his life.

On August 10, 1963, he married Barbara Persing. She preceded him in death in 1995. 

On November 24, 2001, he married the former Jane Krupp. She survives, as do five children Allen (Cheryl) Dick of Bentonville, Arkansas; Kelly Patten (Scott Ferguson) of Fostoria; Lisa (John) McDonald of Melmore, Ohio; Michelle Niederhouser of Sycamore and Paula Tieman of Tiffin. Twenty five grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren survive as well.

Nick was preceded in death by daughters, Tammy Blust and Kathryn Hossler and grandson, Jeremy Dick. He was the last of his siblings, Donald Dick; Hod Dick; Bill E. Dick; Dorothy Wise and Thelma Franks.

Visitation. using masks and social distancing, will be on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 10:00 am until the service at Noon at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be at Noon with Rev. Paul Stark officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or St. John United Church of Christ, Tiffin.
