Velma E. Masters, 78, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton.
She was born June 16, 1943 in Bellevue to Webster and Elizabeth (Kobacs) Strow. She attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Bellevue High School. She had worked for GE until its closing, then retired from Autoplas. Velma enjoyed crafting; making blankets, especially crocheting, and reading. She often donated her blankets to area nursing homes and to Project Linus.
Velma is survived by her daughters: Rhonda (Don) Wilcox of Bellevue; Shari (Dan) Renwand of Bellevue; Dawn (Lee) Beckman of Bellevue; and Tonya Laviola of Norwalk; grandchildren: Matthew (Jessi) Wilcox; Bryan Wilcox; Lesa (Matt) Jarvis; Kevin Wilcox; Shelby (Tyler) George; Cory Silcott; Felicia Beckman; Lacey (Garrick) Gorgan; Mitchell Strow; Gabby Laviola; great-grandchildren: Londen, Tristen, Carter, Aubree, Amelia, Airyana, Braylon; her sister, Julie Kennedy of Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Sue Strow of Bellevue.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Ernie Strow and Rodney Strow; and her brother-in-law, Jim Kennedy.
Private family services will be held for Velma. Memorial contributions in her memory may be given to Fish 'n' Loaves, 203 Maple St, Bellevue; Project Linus, PO Box 1548, Belton, MO 64012-1108; The Bellevue Public Library, 224 E. Main St, Bellevue.
