Vera M. (Scheid) Beiler

Vera M. Beiler, 81, of Bellevue, died Friday, January 8, 2021 at Story Point in Waterville.

 

She was born May 18, 1939 in Norwalk to William and Arineta (Bishop) Scheid.  Vera graduated from Monroeville High School and was a teacher's aide in the Bellevue Schools.  Vera was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue.  There she shared her gift of music by singing in the choir for many years.  Her artistic talents are found all around the church - in decorations, displays, paintings, flowers.  Vera had a knack for decor and an artistic eye.  She also enjoyed playing piano, another of her artistic talents.

 

On August 22, 1959 she married John D. Beiler.  He preceded her in death on March 12, 2014.

 

Vera is survived by her children: Phillip (Denise) Beiler of Charlotte, North Carolina and Julie (John) Rust of Monclova; grandsons: Coleman, Nicholas, and Jack; her brother, Dale (Sharon) Scheid of Monroeville; and sister-in-law, Sue Scheid of Sandusky.

 

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers, Melvin and Earl Scheid.

 

Visitation will be Noon until the service on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St, Bellevue.  Her funeral service will be at the church on Tuesday at 1:00pm with Rev. Mark Bogen officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Prairie Road, Lyme Township.
