Vickie Jo Staler, 67, of Fremont, formerly of Clyde, died at The University Hospital of Cleveland on Monday, November, 22, 2021.
Vickie was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on November 21, 1954 to the now deceased Shirley D. (Freeman) and James W. Potter.
She was a 1972 graduate of Clyde High School, also a member of the Church of God and Prophecy in Fremont, Ohio.
On December 3, 1984, she married Clifford E. Staler. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2013
for twenty years, Vickie drove school bus for the Clyde-Green Springs Schools. Beside the regular routes, she was a favorite of the students for the sporting events trips.
Survivors include two sons, James (Christy) Saam of Bellevue and Shane (Julie) Saam of Columbus, Georgia. Two step- children, Donld (Rae Ann) Staler of Rocky Ridge, Ohio and Bobbi (Dan) May of Catawba Island, Ohio. Twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild, along with two sisters, Terry Saylor and Tanya (Marty) Slaughter all of Fremont survive also.
Vickie was preceded in death by a son, Phillip William Saam in 1978 and a sister, Tracy Schramm-Sudduth.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Gene Paul officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde.
