Viola G. (Krueger) Ziegler

Viola G. Ziegler, 94, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Bellevue Care Center.

 

She was born November 18, 1927 in Sandusky to Arthur & Elsie (Eisenhauer) Krueger.  Viola grew up on the family farm on Mason Road in Castalia.  She graduated from Margaretta High School and went to work for Brown Industries in Sandusky. Viola met Henry Ziegler at a farm bureau dance.  They were married November 8, 1947 and began their family farm on St. Rt. 18 in Clyde.  Later, Viola returned to work and retired from Union Bank.  Viola was a very active member of Zion United Church of Christ, Fireside.  

 

Viola is survived by her sons: Harvey (Carolyn "Mimi") Ziegler of Wildwood, Missouri; Jack (Brenda) Ziegler of Republic; and David (Kelley) Ziegler of Clyde; grandchildren: Jason Ziegler of Gardner, Kansas; Sarah Ziegler of Republic; Jacob Ziegler of Bellevue; Paul Ziegler of Omaha, Nebraska; Andrew Ziegler of Clyde; Eric Ziegler of Kansas City, Missouri; Jessica Ziegler of Clyde; Cody Ziegler of Republic; Joseph Black of Rutledge, Missouri; Rowena Drechsler of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; and her sister, Alice Steed of Bellevue.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hank; her sister, Eilene Perry; and her brother, William Krueger.

 

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue.  Her funeral service will be 10:30am Saturday, June 25 at Zion UCC, Fireside 13525 E. Twp Rd. 178, Bellevue with Pastor Bryan Niebanck officiating.  Burial will follow in Fireside Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Zion United Church of Christ, Fireside.  Online condolences may be shared at www.auxterfuneralhomes.com
