Walter Turner Obituary

Walter E. Turner, 80, of Clyde, died at The Willows of Bellevue on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Walter was born in Fremont on April 6, 1943. His parents, Beatrice (Rutherford) and Oscar Turner are deceased.

Mr. Turner was a member of the Clyde Eagles, Moose and VFW.  He was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, along with the Cleveland Browns and  Cleveland Indians/(Guardians). He enjoyed fishing, and anything to do with his family, especially, he grandchildren!

He is survived by two sons, Walter, II "Butch" (Tammy) Turner of Clyde and Keith Turner of Bellevue. Also, ten grandchildren, Skip, Darrin, Breanna, Jon; Troy; Jayden, Jace, Juke, Jr., and Jasmine. There are nine great grandchildren, and siblings, Connie (Dan) Weaver, of Clyde; Violet (Ronald) Ransom and Ginny (Dick) Sheidler all of Fremont.

Walter was preceded in death by two sons, Jeff Turner and Oscar Pinkston as well as one great grandchild. Two brothers, Robert Turner and Charles Turner and three sisters, Anna Yott, Betty Overmier and Nancy Hamon are also deceased. 

Visitation for Mr. Turner will be on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde. Burial will be private at McPherson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the humane society.
