William Schenk Obituary

William Ray Schenk, 79, of Vickery, died on Sunday, November 20,2022 at The Willows of Bellevue.

Bill was born in Sandusky on October 12, 1943 to the now deceased Thelma Mae (Williamson) and Ervin Schenk.

Mr. Schenk was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia and the Townsend Ruritan.

He graduated from the former Townsend High School in 1961; attended Fenn College in Cleveland for a year, joined the Peace Corps serving in Bolivia for two years, then attended Arizona State University for two years and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1968 with a BS in Agriculture. Later, in 1989, he received his accounting degree from OSU.

He was a farmer.

On October 24, 1964, he married Martha Rocabado. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Kevyn V. Speakur of San Francisco, and two daughters, Elizabeth (Paul) Banda of Clyde and Taylor Allman (Billie Pineda) of Toledo. Four grandchildren, David (Tori) Banda; Michael Banda; Amber Banda and Danielle Banda, along with one great grandchild, Anthony. His brother, Larry (Janice) Schenk of Clyde, and sisters, Teresa (Jim) Floro of Sandusky and Kaye (Larry) Krogh of Castalia also survive.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
