The Rutherford B. Hayes Society has created an index of over 3,500,000 obituaries, death notices, and marriage notices from Ohio from the 1810s to present day.  The free information can be found by searching the last name of the individual. The search engine can help you find the date of death, place of death, and the age of the individual when they died.  We receive a lot of inquiries about past obituaries from families looking to trace their genealogy.  We feel this is a great tool families can utilize when searching their family history. Full obituaries may be purchased directly from the Rutherford B. The Bellevue Public Library has recently started an initiative to digitally archive all editions of The Bellevue Gazette.  Through the digital archive you can search for the different newspaper editions by people, places, or events.  You can also search for editions based on publishing dates.  This is another great tool for searching family genealogy, and can help you to uncover your family history!  The archives may be found by going to the Bellevue Public Library's website or by following the link below.
